AmazonPress was Created so you can place amazon products within your blog posts with description and include images so your blog can turn into an easy online store. You get all the options to move and change around how the amazon links look and feel, how many links are shown, whether the images are shown.
It comes complete with installation instructions.
Also:
- Add your Own product Tags that show products at random.
- Products are cached for a selected period of time.
- Choose which pages you would like to show your amazon products
- Add your own HTML text above the links
- Change the Image sizes from small, medium, large and extra large
- Turn descriptions on and off
- Show links vertical or horizontal
- Place the links above or below the content
Now includes a Widget that can be placed in the side bar and will display amazon ads.

Very capable plug-in. The issue with most advertising plug-ins is that they do not search within the body tags, thereby becoming confused with other data on the web page.
Which brings up my question: Pages don’t have categories or tags. I believe I will use mostly pages. I guess I have two alternatives; rely on generic tags I provide in the options menu which limits the relativity of my content, or add the ‘Simple Tags’ plug-in and hope your plug-in recognizes them.
Are those my options? It does not appear the plug-in has another alternative for determining relevancy.

Where does the plugin cache the data, in the database or in a separate cache folder?

You are quite correct, Tags or Categories are what is required in order to show relevant products, We are accessing another way of showing relevant products via page content.

I have installed the plugin and widget in the sidebar, however, when it displays the related products on the sidebar, the items aren’t clickable.. I can’t click on neither the image, nor the topic… How come?
